I used to believe that using the word literature to mean pamphlets and flyers was just sarcastic ("Ooooh, your coupon is right up there with Shakespeare!"), but I've come to accept that it just means words printed on a page and nothing more.
I keep getting ingenious (having an ability or quality to create or discover) and disingenuous (giving the false impression of being honest and sincere) mixed up.
I don't think I've ever used the word 'slovenly' before, so I ran off to dictionary.com just to make sure I was using it right and the definition page had a banner that said 'Slovenly is a great word to know and so is interrobang!'.
